    Nice fabric, but needs lots of work to be functional.

    I fell in love with the fabric of this robe while looking for a spring/fall robe. The weight is perfect and the pattern is to die for. That said, the robe itself is not very functional. On the upside, it does have a hanging loop, which is not evident from the photos and which is a must for any bathrobe. Unfortunately, this robe will need a lot of tailoring to actually work as a bathrobe. The inner tie, which would (theoretically) keep the robe from falling open, is also made of silk and so doesn't stay tied. The actual tie, also silk, has no backing or any other feature which prevents the smooth fabric from slipping. So, if you actually want to wear this as a bathrobe or stay covered to any degree, be prepared to get it tailored. I will add some snaps to the front of mine and I will also request a new inner tie made from a different fabric. I also sometimes like to roll the sleeves up a little, so I'll probably put pearl buttons and a little loop to keep them rolled up. All told, lots of imperfections for the high price of the product.
